I had yesterday's N&N cut short with a trip to the Jersey Shore. After a fine cookout day yesterday, I'm back at work because of the rain this afternoon. I have all my flagged items still at home because Feed Demon still is working on syncing these items. Thanks to all the people who responded yesterday. People seem split between CAB/SCBAT and Pragmatic SOA/WCF so I will try to focus on these meaty posts as well as talk about Iteration XXX (30) that we are in. Here are some items I have at work: WCF/Indigo/SOA Omri says that RC1 of WCF will be in August and had this to say, " RC1 will be shipped late August with Vista RC1. Actually, the WF bits aren’t super different than the stuff we shipped with Vista Beta2 (in May). The WCF bits have a fair number of changes. Most of them are a bit “under the surface” – e.g. we put it a fair amount of work to be able to build a “packet router” on top of Indigo – a scenario that was very hard to do with beta2. We also put in deeper support for POX. And the Infocard (now "CardSpace") UI has changed quite a bit. I think you should check it out" The always informative Nicholas Allan on the WSFederationHttp Binding Craig McMurtry's slides from TechEd and the Seattle .Net presentations on WCF Everyone and their brother has a definition on SOA. Colin listed a few on this post . [via Jesus Rodriguez ] Agile/XP Interesting post from Jeremy, " How do You Introduce TDD into an Organization or Team?" . Also, TDD with Loops and Aggregated Operations I'm thrilled to see my blog mate Karl becoming more Agile and Learning TDD . See his posts TDD Lesson 1 , TDD Lesson 2 , and TDD Lesson 3 as he blogs his experiences Michael Feathers reports on XP 2006 Technorati Tags: SOA , WCF , Windows Communication Foundation , Agile , Agile Development.
