Comment Policy

So after all that, I'm still allowing non-authenticated users to post comments on my blog (not through the comment API, but through the website). This is the first time my blog has utilized Captcha for reducing the amount of spam - we'll see how that does. If I still get a whole bunch of it, I'll have to resort to requiring either an authenticated user (and allow people to register either with an InfoCard or the old-fashioned way), or asking for an InfoCard (whether it's regsitered or not) before you post a comment. I imagine that if I employ either one of those measures, I'll get about 1% of the comments I've been receiving - most of the reduction being of course due to less spam, and the remainder being that the bar for posting a comment will go up so much that only the truly determined will do it...
